Charles Meryon (French, 1821-1868) La Pompe de Notre-Dame , 1852, probably from the third state of nine (Delteil, 31), an impression prior to title or inscriptions. Unsigned. Etching on chine collé, plate size 6 3/4 x 9 15/16 in. (17.0 x 25.0 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, mat burn to supporting sheet, chine just disadhering along left edge near upper corner, gentle rippling, not examined out of frame.
