Attributed to Levi Wells Prentice (American, 1851-1935) White Birch Along a Stream Signed "L. W. Pretice" [ sic ] l.r., inscribed on stretcher "L.W. Prentice," label from Shannon's Fine Art Auctioneers affixed to stretcher. Oil on canvas, 18 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. (46.8 x 29.2 cm), framed. Condition: Small abrasions along edges and at all four corners. Provenance: A private collection, Canada; Shannon's Fine Art Auctioneers, Milford, Connecticut, Fine American and European Paintings, May 4, 2006, Lot 44, to the current private Massachusetts collection.
