Royal Bonn Porcelain Ruysdael Vase, Germany, c. 1900, stylized amphora-form with orange, green, and black decoration of a stylized peacock feather motif, inscribed to underside "Royal Bonn Germany/Ruysdael" and "3838/11/5," with impressed marks "FRANZ ANT. MEHLEM" and "T," ht. 9 5/8, wd. handle to handle 6 1/8, dp. 4 7/8 in. Provenance: Collection of Jesse and Rona Kohler. Note: This particular Jugendstil motif was produced by Royal Bonn specifically for the 1900 Universelle Exposition in Paris to compete with other porcelain manufacturers such as Royal Copenhagen and Sevres.
