mid-18th century of elongated ovoid form with a foliate mount to the mouth, raised on an openwork C-scroll and S-scroll base. Height 7 1/4 inches. Property from the Collection of The Steins, Glencoe, Illinois In good, stable condition overall. Vase is slightly lopsided within gilt bronze base. Bronze mounts with areas of oxidation; with bright, fairly even patina overall. Minor craquelure to the glaze, with scattered instances of pitting and firing imperfections. Green adhesive residue to the underside of the porcelain body, which is also visible where the gilt bronze openwork base meets the porcelain.
