of rectangular form with rounded ends and a pierced gallery, the sides with a band of repeating floral decoration, raised on paw feet. Height 3 5/8 x width 50 1/2 x depth 17 1/4 inches. Good condition. Dull, tarnished patina. A few areas very slightly bent. After closer study plateau is likely later than originally thought. Early to mid 20th century.
