new england, late 18th century in two parts, the superstructure having a molded cornice above three aligned short drawers and four graduated long drawers, the lower section having a long drawer and three aligned short drawers, raised on cabriole legs ending in trifid feet. Height 77 x width 41 1/2 x depth 24 inches. Overall stable, attractive condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Drawers open and close smoothly. Brasses replaced. Back of upper section with a detached board, not retained. Areas of missing or repaired wood particularly around drawer corners. Cornice likely replaced. Upper section and lower section possibly a marriage, but not certain.
