Francis Spilsbury, London, 1735 having an acorn finial and domed lid surmounting a tapering cylindrical body, the exterior chased with a folliate and stippled engraving centered by a vacant cartouche. marked on underside 25 ozt 19 dwts Height 9 1/4 inches. In overall good condition. Light to moderate surface sratching consistent with polishing and use. Cartouche vacant but no evidence of erasure. Pitting on seam on underside, likely from production. Foot bent slightly out of round but it sits stable on a flat surface. Three grooves in top of thumb-piece on handle.
