(Italian, 19th Century) Classical Scenes , 1876 (two works) gouache and watercolor on paper signed F. S. and dated (lower right) 30 3/4 x 37 inches (framed). Each in good stable condition consistent with age. The work with trees in the background (second-pictured on website) with some cockling to the paper in the upper-left quadrant, as well as instances of minor creasing over the Corinthian columns in the lower-left quadrant. The first-pictured work on the website with minor instances of foxing visible on the sky.
