second half 19th century having a rectangular marble inset top with eared corners, the case fitted with a single door opening to a shelved interior and flanked by female herms, raised on a bracket base. Height 41 1/2 x width 31 1/2 x depth 14 inches. Stable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Lacking one top panel beneath the marble, and the other panel with age split. Age split through the bottom drawer within the case. Areas of discoloration, dirt and residue to the gilt mounts. There are several areas of loss to the brass inlays and other areas of lifting. Inlay appears to be tortoise shell.
