late 19th century of baluster form, painted to depict roosters and hens in a forest landscape, raised on a naturalistic gilt bronze base cast to show flowering branches. Height 22 inches. Property from the Collection of Wanda Olas-Kane, Chicago, Illinois In good, stable and complete condition overall without cracks or chips. Scattered areas of light rubbing and minor areas of loss to the painted surface. Slightly dirty. Gilt bronze base with a fairly even, bright patina.
