Chinese, 20th century. A pottery urn covered in deep red glaze having four mandala form reserves bordered by relief beaded bands and bearing underglaze blue figural scenes depicting mythical beasts within a fenced yard flanked by auspicious symbols. Underside with indistinguishable Qing Dynasty reign mark, likely apocryphal. Approximate height 11.5", diameter 10.5".
