Chinese, early 20th century. A very fine spinach jade table screen with hardstone veneered decoration of peony flowers on leafy stems emerging from a rocky ledge, the applied stones apparently jade, lapis, turqouise, and soapstone), the rectangular plaque mounted to a well carved hardwood frame and stand, and set upon a black marble rectangular plinth base (likely a later addition). Overall approximate height 13.5". Screen height 12.5". Base approximately 11.5" x 8.25".Provenance: Property from the Estate of Mr. Eskild Bondesen of Copenhagen, Denmark.
