American, late 20th century. A black lacquered hexagonal kang style low coffee table, having allover chinoiserie decoration, the top depicting a courtly figural scene of ladies in a garden surround by trees and foliage, within a banded red border, atop a conforming skirt with two sliding drawers, on six cabriole legs. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 18", diameter 43".
