In the manner of Wang Bing Rong (Chinese, 1840-1900). A matched pair of porcelain ginger jars with dome covers, in yellow glazed ground with famille verte, aubergine and white featuring applied decorations including a white heron and broad lotus flowers. Stamped "CHINA" to the underside in red on one ginger jar with traces of the stamp on the other. Jars are accompanied with circular gilt wood stands. Approximate height of jar 9.5", diameter 7.5". Approximate height of stand 2", diameter 6.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of the Owner of Chelsea House. Note: Heron with lotus motif has a meaning of "May your path be always upward".
