Chinese, 20th century. A finely enameled hu form vase, a form also commonly known as a Hundred Deer form, having hand painted phoenix birds resting beside peony blossoms on a rose colored ground with incised graviata swirl decoration, the opposite side with 9 lines of black calligraphy with a pair of seal marks, with figural deer head handles to either side of the vase's shoulder. Underside with four character seal script mark. Approximate height 13.75", width over handles 12.5", diameter 11.25".
