A fine Victorian Nailsea glass rose bowl in the "Venetian Thread" pattern having opalescent loops on ruby or cranberry glass with a satin finish and six-crimp ruffled rim. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 3.5", diameter 5.25". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Mrs. Nancy Rutledge Pogue, Blufton, South Carolina (wife of Mr. William Pogue, who served as an heir to the H. & S. Pogue Company department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio).
