Chinese, 20th century. A finely painted porcelain urn or vase having delicate overglaze iron red decoration of a dragon in flight above stylized waves, with peony blossoms to shoulder on a ground of small spirals, and a band of leaf tips to the squat incurvate neck. Underside with apocryphal mark for the Qianlong imperial reign (1736-1795). Approximate height 8", diameter 4.5".
