Rare George III or early Regency square pianoforte having a mahogany case cross-banded (likely rosewood) and inlaid with ebony stringing with decorative brass mounted trim raised on six turned supports terminating in brass caps with casters. Inlaid label centered by soundfrets "Paterson & Mortimer Comp/Musical Instrument Makers/Edinburgh & Falcon Square London". Interior of case near soundboard hand written "Sold by R. Pillams 34 Hanover Street Edinburgh". Approximate height 33", width 67.5", depth 26.25".
