Japanese, early 20th century. A naturalistically rendered spiny lobster or crawfish having articulation to the antenna, limbs, body and tail, possibly made by the Myochin, who originally made armor for Samurai warriors. Piece is signed to the underside. Approximate length 9.25" (antenna to tail).
