Italian, circa 1970s. A Majolica ceramic cello, having a figural volute with a cherub face, with ceramic pegs decorated with flowers, supported by a long neck and body decorated with sunflowers, with a double orange border with pink and green flowers, the sides decorated with green cross hatching inset with yellow flowers, with applied gold string, on a black metal stand. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 42", width 17.5", depth 34".
