Hour Lavigne (French, Paris, founded 1848), circa 1960s. A Neoclassical style white marble and gilt brass carriage or dresser clock, having a marble case and cornice, mounted with a gilt brass ring handle, with a round white face with Arabic numerals and pierced gilt brass hands, framed in a fluted and beaded border, the spandrels mounted with acanthus foliage, the cornice with a ribbon, and the sides with stylized flowers, resting on four beaded bun feet. Face marked "Hour Lavigne à Paris". Approximate height 10", width 6", depth 2.75".
