Attributed to Meissen (German, founded 1710), late 19th/early 20th century. A fine porcelain oil lamp in the "Blue Onion" pattern comprising a ruffled milk glass shade and colorless glass chimney resting in the fitter and metal burner with wick adjuster (unmarked). Top half of lamp contains the reservoir which lifts out of base. Lamp is raised on a socle foot and mounted gilt metal circulet resting on three Egyptian revival style paw feet. There are no marks under the reservoir. Approximate height 22.25" (top of chimney).
