Italian, late 18th century. A pair of Sheraton style hand-carved walnut side chairs, each having a shield-form back with a pierced harp-shaped splat, on four tapering legs with an H-stretcher. Upholstered in green and red striped silk. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 38.25", width 19.25", seat depth 15.5", seat to floor 19".
