American, mid to late 19th century. A large copper basin, originally used for making apple butter, having a large hammered form, with a rolled lip and a shaped cast iron handle. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height (excluding handle) 14.75", height (including handle 26.25", diameter (including handles) 25.25".
