Franz Wittmann Furniture (Austrian, founded 1896), circa 2000. A reproduction Secessionist style side chair after the original Purkersdorf Sanatorium chair, Vienna, model no. 322, created by Josef Hoffman (Vienna, 1870-1956) in 1904-1905, featuring a bentwood black painted frame with rectangular concentric-pierced central splat and custom upholstered seat with nail head trim raised on cylindrical legs headed with ball ornament pendants. Chair is accompanied with Certificate of Guarantee from Wittman, production number 2M556, November 2000. Approximate height 39.12", width 17.25", seat depth 16", seat height 18.5".
