French, mid to late 19th century. A carved Provincial Louis XIII-style Os de Mouton arm chair, having a crested ticking stripe upholstered back and seat, carved mutton bone form arms, with a shaped seat rail decorated with C-scrolls, cross-hatching, and a central rocaille, on four incurvate legs, with a cross stretcher. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 48.5", width 25", seat depth 23", seat to floor 20".
