French, circa 1920s. A mahogany veneered Art Deco settee, having a high, flared back with a curved mahogany veneered crest rail over a yellow floral silk upholstered back, with two removable back cushions over two removable seat cushions, on a conforming mahogany veneered seat rail and six squared, tapering legs. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 36.75", width 55.5", seat depth 22", seat to floor 19". Provenance: From the Estate of a prominent publisher and philanthropist, Greenwich, CT.
