Continental, likely Italian, last quarter 20th century. A polychromed tole chandelier in the form of a hot air balloon, having an open wire balloon accented with painted green tole drapes and a pennant to the top, with six twisted wire support ropes accented with rosettes, holding a pierced metal basket draped with swagged green tole draperies with cut merlons and embrasures to the edges, with six scrolled arms each terminating in a polychromed candle cup. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 34", diameter 21.5".
