Meissen (German, founded 1710), late 19th/early 20th century. A hand painted porcelain figurine depicting a Bolognese dog, originally designed by Johann Joachim Kändler, standing on hind legs, with long brown ears and a brown and white coat. Marked to underside with blue crossed swords, and incised with numbers "1243". Approximate height 9.75", width 5.5", depth 5.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of the Owner of Chelsea House.
