New Haven Clock Company (American, 1853-1960), circa 1880. A rosewood eight and one day wall clock having a twelve inch white enameled metal dial with black Roman numerals within an octagonal case with short drop, reverse painted lower glass door to view and brass covered pendulum bob. Remnants of label to interior and stamped "2834". Stamped to back exterior of case "1479". Approximate height 24.25", width 17", depth 4". Provenance: From the Estate of a prominent publisher and philanthropist, Greenwich, CT.
