French, late 19th century. A Louis XVI style brass inlaid, gilt bronze mounted mahogany bureau a cylindre in the manner of François Linke (French, 1855-1946) having a three quarter galleried superstructure inset with black marble over a band of three drawers, flanked by fluted panels, the cylinder lid opening to a fitted interior with three drawers over a leatherette inset writing slide, the base with center drawer flanked to the right by a single deep drawer simulated as two short drawers and housing a wood lock box, the other side with two short drawers and raised on turned tapered and fluted legs terminating in toupie feet. The drawers with gilt bronze berried laurel escutcheons, individual locking mechanisms and flanked by fluted panels. Approximate height 46.5", width 53", depth 24.5".
