English, late 20th century. A set of 8 mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs, including 2 arm and 6 side, each having a serpentine crest rail carved with scrolled acanthus leaves and centered with a small shell and acanthine drop, over a pierced splat, with a removable seat cushion inset into a gadrooned seat rail, with two cabriole front legs carved with scrolling acanthine knees and terminating in a claw and ball foot, with squared back legs. Two with serpentine arms with scrolled handholds. Approximate height (of armchairs) 41.425", width 24", seat depth 18.5", seat to floor 18.5".
