American, late 20th century. A set of 6 mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs, including 2 arm and 4 side, each having a serpentine crest rail with a central scroll and scrolled ears, carved with rocaille and flowers, over a pierced, scrolled splat back, with carved chair rails decorated with leaves and vines, two with serpentine arms with scrolled handholds, over an upholstered seat with a leaf tipped border, on four cabriole legs, the front two with carved knees decorated with foliage, terminating in claw and ball feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 40", width 25.5", seat depth 19", seat to floor 20".
