Chinese, 20th century. A finely handwoven silk kesi textile or slit-tapestry in tones of blue, green, orange, red, and gold depicting a heavenly Buddha flanked by subjects and worshippers and set amid cloud scrolls beside rolling waves lapping against a tall temple at left, with figures set above and below the Buddha engaged in various actions of subjection and worship. Approximately 35.75" x 28.5".
