French, late 18th/early 19th century. A Provincial carved and stained oak armoire, having an overhanging molded top, above a cornice with bas relief carved scrolled foliates and vines, with two overlapping paneled doors, each carved with scrolled flowers and vines, with long hinges and peacock feather escutcheons, opening to reveal interior shelving, over a shaped skirt with a beaded border carved with flowers and vines, on scrolled incurvate legs. Approximate height 92", width 65", depth 24".
