Likely English, 20th century. A matched set of ten mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs comprising two arm and eight side chairs, each with scroll and foliate crestrail over a pieced and foliate carved splat, the trapezoidal padded and Schumacher upholstered seat with foliate and scroll carved skirt raised on front cabriole legs carved at the knee and terminating on ball and claw feet. Approximate height of armchairs 40.5", width 25.25" (arm to arm), seat depth 16.5",. seat height 19.5". Approximate height of side chairs 40.5", width 24" (leg to leg), seat depth 16.5",. seat height 19.5".
