English, 18th century. George III oak longcase clock having a broken swan-neck pediment with brass lion mask terminals, the frieze fitted with an arched glazed door flanked by fluted free-standing Corinthian columns and enclosing the conforming brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture within foliate and mask engraved spandrels, the arch fitted with an etched globe and marked "Tempus Fugit", the case with shaped rectangular trunk door flanked by fluted Corinthian quarter pilasters, raised on paneled box base on plinth. Approximate height 87.25", width 21" (hood), depth 9.25" (hood).
