German/American, late 19th/early 20th century A mahogany grandfather or tall case clock with swan's neck crest and urn-shaped wood finials over a frieze decorated with ribbon tied husks and arched glazed door enclosing the conforming dial with moon phase and brass with silvered hour dial with applied gilt metal Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, flanked by Ionic fluted free-standing capitals, the case headed with stylized anthemion over the oval beveled glazed door flanked by Ionic fluted capitals and raised on a paneled box base centered with palmette and terminating on four carved paw feet. The back of movement mechanism stamped with a crown "Trade Mark" and "GERMANY". Backside of hood and case stamped "3", "12", "391". Approximate height 102.25", width 26.5" (front foot to foot), depth 16.62" (back foot to front foot).
