A set of 8 mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs, including 2-arm and 6-side, each having a serpentine crest rail with scrolled ears, over fluted stiles with a pierced and carved acanthine back splat, two with serpentine arm rests with scrolled handholds on curved supports, with a removable seat cushion, over a serpentine seat rail with gadrooning, on cabriole front legs with carved acanthine knees terminating in a ball and claw foot, with tapering back legs terminating in a pad foot. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height (of armchair) 38.25", width 29", seat depth 21", seat to floor 19".
