English, early to mid 19th century. A carved and stained oak Jacobean style table, rectangular in form, having an overhanging paneled top, the apron inset with a single, sliding drawer, the front with carved wainscot and applied bosses, on four turned legs with a box stretcher and turned feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 27.6", width 36.125", depth 20.1". Provenance: From the Estate of a prominent publisher and philanthropist, Greenwich, CT.
