Italian, 20th century. A majolica pedestal, having a square wooden top, resting on a glazed terracotta column decorated in green, brown and gold Neoclassical motifs, with a banded laurel and rosette necking accented with swags and a twisting vine decoration, atop a stacked base with egg and dart molding, grotesque mask and foliate friezes, and acanthus tip edging, on a square plinth base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 40.5", width 12.8", depth 12.8".
