Continental, 19th century, possibly earlier. A fine and interesting silver footed sauce boat or bowl in navette form with light gold wash having extensive repousse decoration of flowers and acanthus, on stippled ground and centered to each side with a mask over a gadroon and scallop shell decorated oval base. The underside marked with traces of a right open hand (similar to Red hand of Ulster). Boat did test positive for strong silver content. Base possibly weighted. Approximate height 4.62", width 7.37", depth 4.5". Approximate weight 16.08 troy ounces.
