French, mid to late 19th century with 20th century modifications. A pair of Old Paris porcelain urns converted to table lamps, each with a tapering neck, wide shoulder, and footed base, enameled in green, with a gilded egg and dart border, and gilded swagged rope handles, painted with four landscape roundels to the front and backs of the necks and bodies, each depicting a classical scene and surrounded by a foliated gilt border, resting on a tiered, squared, and fluted base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height (to fixture) 22.25", diameter 6.25".
