English, mid to late 19th century. A carved mahogany Chippendale style armchair, having a serpentine crest rail with scalloped ears, with a pierced urn form splat back, with two serpentine arms with shaped armrests and scrolled handholds, over a squared seat removable seat upholstered in yellow, blue, and green fabric, with squared front legs and incurvate back legs and an H-stretcher. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 36.9", width 22.9", seat depth 16", seat to floor 17.5".
