A chinoiserie style blue and white porcelain vase (or urn) with elaborate mounted bronze neck, handles and separable base, urn with lappet bordering at neck and base, body with double-face patterning, with large leafy peonies on blue dotted background surrounding central quatrefoil floral vignette or medallion, bronze neck with swan's neck form, with scrolled acanthus patterning, bronze handles with c-scroll acanthus surmounted to neck with lion's head holding rings, separable bronze base with c- and s-scrolled folliates acanthus, with Greek key freize at base, with velvet lined underside with applied label "Maitland-Smith". Overall with base approximate height 26.25", diameter at mouth 9.5".
