Continental, late 19th century. A collection of two figural gilt bronze inkwells, each apparently unmarked, comprising one inkwell depicting a handled basket containing grapes and grape leaves, with hinged lid with braided, arched basket handle, basket interior with two separable wells for ink, basket mounted to square plinth base, base adorned with four urn form pen holders at each corner, base with a rotating tray decorated with two crossed feather plumes, on four half pineapple feet; and one inkwell depicting an orb supported on trio of ram's leg feet, with separable lid topped with round and splayed acanthus finial, interior of orb with three wells (two for ink, one for sand), body of orb with diaper patterning with rosettes, supported on three legs, each topped with urn form pen holders mounted to figural ram's head, further mounted to ram's legs and hoofs, on shaped plinth base. Grape basket inkwell overall approximately 4.5" x 4" x 3". Ram's orb inkwell 6.5" x 4" x 4".
