Two late 19th century sterling serving pieces comprising a cake or fruit server having a figural handle depicting a man playing a cello, the serving blade with repousse figural Dutch motif, the back inscribed in German and stamped "800" and hallmarked for Adolph Mayer; the other a figural serving spoon having openwork handle surmounted with seated cherub or putto amidst leafy scrolls, the back of the bowl hallmarked with lion for sterling, London, date code for 1892 and S.N. (possibly Samuel Neville) and with the letter "F" in an oval cartouche for import. Front of bowl impressed with what looks like Glasgow Lion mark. Approximate length of cake server 6.87". Approximate weight 1.12" troy ounces. Approximate length of spoon 7.5". Approximate weight 2.24" troy ounces.
