Likely English, 19th century. Pair of tall back satinwood "fancy" painted side chairs, each with a shaped crest rail, foliate carved ears atop tapered side rails, an urn-shaped back splat and a curved shoe, and a silk upholstered seat atop a curved apron with a carved egg and dart border and fluted cabriole legs terminating in paw feet, with all over Neoclassical or Adams-style painted floral, foliate, and ribbon decoration. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 47", width 17.5", seat depth 17", seat to floor 18".
