consisting of a central pear shape ruby set within a domed section accented at the diagonals with scalloped recesses and white enamel palmettes, the lower polished gold dome with black enamel curvilinear tracing, the leaf shape surround of scrolled Acanthus leaves in dark green enamel and containing one oval cabochon cut ruby at the top, the base embellished with a sculpted grotesque facade, the pendant supporting a detachable drop with rope texture wirework accent, six cabochon cut gems, and a baroque drop shape pearl, the reverse engraved with foliate motif and centrally accented with a glazed compartment, all suspended from a meshwork chain of later addition.
