It is the opinion of the gemologist, given the intricate platinum work, the style of the construction, and the cutting style of the old mine and old European cut diamonds, that the four jade sections were produced in the Art Deco period. The white gold fittings and back chain are of later, more contemporary addition. It is the opinion of the gemologist that the carved jade section in this item has internal characteristics consisted with those observed in natural jadeite jade that has not been colored enhanced with dye.
